A bit late I know, but better late than never is a thing, right?
Orlando City SC v FC Dallas – Both teams got big wins mid-week, which were desperately needed. Dallas jumped back into a playoff spot. OCSC did not. OCSC wins 1-0.
Toronto FC v NY Red Bulls – Toronto FC and the Red Bulls are both in slumps. Toronto can clinch the Supporters Shield with a win and the Red Bulls are clinging to the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference. Expect TFC to get the job done, 3-1.
New England Revolution v Atlanta United – The Revs have scored 5 goals in their last 5 games. In that time they’ve conceded 17, yet they’ve won two of five. Atlanta embarrassed the shit out of New England two weeks ago in Atlanta. Expect the Revs to try and enact some revenge. Revs win 3-2.
Columbus Crew v DC United – The Crew have gone from out of the playoffs to challenging the Chicago Fire to host the 4 v 5 matchup. DC United has scored almost one third of their team goals in the last week. Crew win 3-0.
Houston Dynamo v MNUFC – The Dynamo are currently on the outside looking in for playoff places, so this is a must win for the Dynamo. MNUFC is on their first ever MLS win streak. The Loons were the first team to rake points from the BBVA. Houston wins 3-1.
Chicago Fire v NYCFC – The Fire have tumbled all the way to fourth in the Eastern Conference, one point back of Atlanta United. Manchester East is now trying to hold off Atlanta United for third, all three of these teams are very compact, so this match is very important. Fire win 2-1.
Colorado Rapids v Montreal Impact – The rapids are fucking terrible. Montreal things they have a chance at the playoffs but they are also fucking terrible. Rapids win 1-0.
Sporting KC v Vancouver Whitecaps – This is the best match of the weekend as 3 hosts 1 with a chance to leapfrog int first with a win. Vancouver lost mid-week at Seattle and Sporking beat LA last week. Sporking is going to do the double and that starts by knocking off the ‘Caps on Saturday. Sporking KC win 3-0.
San Jose Earthquakes v Portland Timbers – San Jose is reeling and now has the worst goal differential in the league at -23! (So much for MNUFC being the worst team evah!) They gave up four goals mid-week to Chicago. The Timbers are fighting for the top spot in the Western Conference and need a win to keep up with Sporking. Draw 2-2.
LA Galaxy v Real Salt Lake – The Galaxy and RSL are teams going in complete opposite directions. LA has overtaken the Loons in goals allowed at 61 and could possibly break the record. RSL could use a win to keep their spot in the playoff secure and they should get it at the Stub Hub Center. RSL win 4-2.
Philadelphia Union v Seattle Sounders – This game is going to be v. dumb. Seattle wins 3-1.
That’s it. Enjoy the matches
